These policies are to ensure the well-being of everyone coming through the door and the smooth operation of my fabulous little utopia of creativity! Please take a read.

Health is more important than nails

If you have symptoms of ANY illness, or if anyone in your household is sick:

You MUST reschedule your appointment. I have colleagues, clients and family who are immunocompromised and I will not risk infecting them. If you come in for your appointment and have any symptoms of illness, you will be turned away and charged for the missed appointment. If I am sick, I will let you know ASAP so we can reschedule.

I occasionally ask that disposable masks be worn in the studio in the fall/winter. If that’s not for you, we’re not a good fit.

Other salons’ work:

I don’t fill or remove other nail salons’ work for many reasons. The main one being that I’m super allergic to methylmethacrylate, which is a very common, VERY toxic (and illegal!) product many larger salons use because the beauty industry is, unfortunately, unregulated.

Please make sure to come to your appointment with bare nails, unless we have discussed arrangements beforehand.

Children & extra guests:

No kids in the shop. I don’t do kids’ nail services and it’s not a safe place for them. No extra guests at your appointment, there is no waiting area.

No-shows, cancellations and late arrivals:

I require 48 business hours (Mon-Fri) notice of any cancellation of your scheduled appointment. Any less than 48 hours’ notice will require a a late cancellation fee of $40, to be paid before your next appointment is booked. Same-day cancellations or no-show, no call appointments will be required to pay the full amount of their service, which is $102 (this amount is 1.5 hours at my hourly rate of $65 plus GST) before re-scheduling. In short, no-shows without a valid emergency aren’t ok. Guests who are late to their appointment may have to have abbreviated services to keep other clients on schedule. Clock starts running at the time your appointment starts. If you are 15 minutes late or more, you may be asked to reschedule, applying the late cancellation fee.

Respect

Everyone in this space will treat each other with respect and courtesy, always. This includes respect for the personal choices that I make for my business to keep everyone safe. This is an inclusive studio where everyone is welcome. Zero tolerance for racism, queerphobia and Transphobia of any kind.
